June 2025

Launch and Congratulations!

Hello Lovelies! I hope you’ve had a joyful June!

You may not know this, but one of the reasons I wanted to learn how to paint, was because I couldn’t afford the type of art that I wanted to display in my home. All I wanted to do was create some beautiful botanical artworks for my walls. I was so drawn to the bright floral colours popping against white backgrounds. Still, when I page through my botanical watercolour books, I’m greeted with this amazing sense of joy! I’ve come full circle, after trying pattern design and various different illustration styles, back to my first love. And I’m so excited to share the launch of my fine art prints with you! Not only am I thrilled at the quality and divineness of the 100% cotton archival paper, but I’ve made sure that they are super affordable! Because art and plants are what transform a house into a home, in my humble opinion. Which is why until the end of August, I’m giving you 15% discount on any purchase. Simply use the code ARTME at checkout.

I’ve sent an email to the winner of the mini Three Roses Print. Congratulations! For some reason, your name is not included under your subscription details.

(😩 May I have a little whinge? This tech stuff does my head in! This name thing is one of the issues I can’t seem to resolve, as well as figuring out my alias email address for sending individual emails. If any of you are tech savvy, drop me a note and help a girl out! 😆)

Anyway, please check to see if you receive an email (and your spam emails) with the title Three Roses Mini Print that notifies you of your win, so you can get in touch with your address and your print will be on its way.

What I’m Working on…

It’s been a busy time with logistics as I prepare to enter two new retail spaces (more on that next month). I’ve not had much time to paint, but I’m working on some lovely lilies. I’m continuing to share my addiction to Procreate, finishing up my beginners course with a new course starting mid-July. I’ll also be teaching a botanical watercolour course, as well as some Procreate and watercolour workshops. As mentioned in last month’s newsletter, I had an interview with the delightful Jacqui Almack-Onley on 104.7 Gippsland FM. Here is the link, should you wish to listen. https://www.gippslandfm.org.au/characters-identities/ Just scroll down to the 13 June episode. I have to admit that after being put on the spot in one instance I was a bit disoriented and said 1800’s books when I meant 1900s. Oh well….Jacqui was a phenomenal host and it was a fun experience.

This month’s free gift is set of Tea for One tags. You can find them in the Gift Tags section of Jo’s Gift Garden.

Invitation (some thoughts on life and faith)

As the world ramps up with so many things looming which are out of our control, it’s easy to fall into fear or depression. So I’m grateful for this verse recorded for our benefit.

Philippians 4:8 (NKJ)

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Abundant blessings on you for July.

With joy and beauty,

Jo xxx
