Procreate for Beginners Single Class
Learn to create stunning illustrations with Procreate, your iPad and an Apple pencil!
Procreate is a powerful, yet fun application to learn and has not only been a game changer for professional artists and designers, but has made art and creative entrepreneurship available to everyone.
I’ll take you step by step through each of these beginner classes, where we will create a mini project including things like gift tags and bookmarks.
PLEASE NOTE:
Although I have designed each class as a stand alone class with its own project, the classes do actually build on one another, introducing a new tool each lesson. Therefore, if you are able, the full course is the ideal. However, you will still be able to follow along and complete your project for the single class, since I will only be focussing on one to two tools per class and will do a review of the interface in each lesson.
Choose from the following classes:
Lesson 1: Getting Started in Procreate - Intro to the Procreate interface and basic tools, sketching, drawing in layers with basic colouring. (Sun 18 May or Tues 13 May) Only 3 spots left.
Lesson 2: Exploring Colour and Blending - Learn to use colour drop and adjust colours from the Adjustments tools. (Sun 8 June or Tues 20 May)
Lesson 3: Selection & Transformation Tools - Using selection and transformation tools to create shapes in illustrations . (Sun 22 June or Tues 10 June)
Lesson 4: Textures and Customisation - Painting with clipping masks and using texture overlays to express your signature style. (Sun 6 July or Tues 24 June)
Lesson 5: Putting it all together and Exporting - Our final project - creating a greeting card (Sun 13 Jul /Tues 8 Jul)
Join me as I share this fun passion with you.
You will need:
Your iPad with the Procreate App already installed - available in the Apple App store. (around $20 AUD)
An Apple pencil. (There are alternatives out there but I have never used them, so I am unable to recommend an alternative. The cost is worth it though and I can share other applications where I use my pencil. I love it!
I highly recommend a notebook and pen. Even though I will have a hand-out for you, it’s helpful to make your own notes.
Feel free to email me at jodais2y@gmail.com should you have any questions.
Choose between Sundays or Tuesdays
SUNDAY DATES: 2pm-4pm - 11 May, 18 May, 8 June, 22 June, 6 July (address will be supplied upon booking)
TUESDAY DATES: 13 May, 20 May, 10 June, 24 June, 8 July - At Morwell Art & Framing: 49 Chickerell Street, Morwell.
