Procreate for Beginners Full Course (Five Classes)
Learn to create stunning illustrations with Procreate, your iPad and an Apple pencil!
Procreate is a powerful, yet fun application to learn and has not only been a game changer for professional artists and designers, but has made art and creative entrepreneurship available to everyone.
I’ll take you step by step through the basics in this live course from the beginning with sketching and drawing in Lesson 1 and gradually introducing the Procreate tools over 5 lessons, concluding with how to export your art and bring it from the screen to the world. We will complete a mini project in each lesson including bookmarks and gift tags.
Lesson 1: Getting Started in Procreate - Intro to the Procreate interface and basic tools, sketching, drawing in layers with basic colouring.
Lesson 2: Exploring Colour and Blending - Learn to use colour drop and adjust colours from the Adjustments tools.
Lesson 3: Selection & Transformation Tools - Using selection and transformation tools to create shapes in illustrations.
Lesson 4: Textures and Customisation - Painting with clipping masks and using texture overlays to express your signature style.
Lesson 5: Putting it all together and Exporting - Our final project - creating a greeting card.

You will need:
Your iPad with the Procreate App already installed - available in the Apple App store. (around $20 AUD)
An Apple pencil. (There are alternatives out there but I have never used them, so I am unable to recommend an alternative. The cost is worth it though and I can share other applications where I use my pencil. I love it!
I highly recommend a notebook and pen. Even though I will have a hand-out for you, it’s helpful to make your own notes.
