BOTANICAL STUDIES-BIRTH FLOWERS

I was inspired to paint my own studies of birth flowers in Procreate watercolour.

It is a blessing that half of these flowers grow in my own garden. The references for the violets, daffodils, daisies, rose, gladiolus and narcissus were all taken from my own photographs. Painting in Procreate is one of my great joys and I try to transfer the methods and skills that I learnt in traditional botanical illustration to this digital medium.
